Al Chisholm

Mr. Al Chisholm, age 88, of Macclenny, Florida died Monday, March 9, in the St. Vincent Riverside Hospital, Jacksonville, Florida following a long illness. Mr. Chisholm was born in Jacksonville, Florida and has resided in Macclenny, Florida for the past 80 years. He worked as a under ground lineman with the Jacksonville Electric Authority for over 45 years before his retirement in 2006. He was a Navy veteran of W.W. II and loved fishing, gardening and the Florida Gators. He leaves a legacy of many “Al" stories that would bring humor and laughter to family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Stanley and Lizzie Knabb Chisholm, three brothers, Malcolm, Merle and Trenton Chisholm, two sisters, Patricia Carolyn Parker and Undine Johns. He is survived his brother and sister-in-law, Randolph and Barbara Chisholm of Macclenny, Florida: One niece, JoAnna (Mike) Anderson, Seven nephews, Christopher (Lynn) Chisholm, David (Regina) Chisholm, Merle (Robin) Chisholm, Richie Chisholm, John Chisholm, Robert (Sharon) Johns and Mike Parker: Many great and great-great nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 A.M Friday, March 13, in the First United Methodist Church, Macclenny, Fla. with Rev. Donald Thompson, Pastor, officiating and assisted by Rev. Mike Anderson. Interment will be in North Prong Cemetery, Baker County, Fla. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 6 to 8 P.M.
