Alfred Leroy Borchardt Obituary
Alfred Leroy Borchardt, 86, of Jupiter, Florida passed away peacefully on February 1, 2024, at 5:53 PM, surrounded by his loving family. He has now found eternal rest in the arms of Jesus.
Alfred, affectionately known as Al, was born in Wein, Wisconsin on November 23, 1937, to Mary (Weiland) and Elmer S. Borchardt. A devout Christian, Al lived his life as a testament to his faith, serving as a dedicated father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather and husband.
Throughout his life, Al was a committed family provider and a successful entrepreneur. He owned and operated three companies starting with Al’s Excavating and Siding and later established Borchardt and Sons Construction Company located in Wisconsin. In North Florida, alongside with his wife Mary and family, he founded Floridian Homes and Development, leaving a lasting impact through his construction and remodeling ventures.
Al is survived by his seven children Bryon, Kevin (Susan), Randy (Natalia), James (Kimberly), Mindy (Brian), Heidi, Tim (Shannan), twenty-four grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren plus two more on the way, and one great-great-grandchild, brother Eugene (Mildred) Borchardt and many friends over the years. Preceded in passing by his brother Darold James Borchardt September 25,1952, and his parents Mary on February 10, 2003, and Elmer on June 1, 2002.
A viewing (wake) in his honor will be held at Guerry Funeral Home in Lake City, Florida from 4pm to 6pm on Friday, February 09, 2024. Pastor Wrobel from Zion Lutheran (WELS) Church of Gainesville, Florida, will officiate the funeral service at 11am on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Guerry Chapel. Al will be laid to rest beside his former wife and the mother of his children Mary (Mielke) Borchardt at the High Springs Cemetery, High Springs, Florida.
In his final 15 months, Al received care at Luxe Rehabilitation Center in Jupiter, Florida.
