Alice M Martin Parker-Blankenship

July 7, 1937 — May 7, 2023

Mrs. Alice M. Martin Parker-Blankenship Age 85 of Fort White, Florida died May 7, 2023 at North Florida Regional Hospital.   She resided in Fort White, Florida.  During her life she worked at Sewing Factories in and around Lake City, FL but she retired after 24 years of working at General Electric in Alachua County.  During her adult life she enjoyed playing the piano, singing, going to church, and helping people.  Her passions in life included cooking, sewing, making dolls, decorating cakes, growing flowers, and working in her garden.  She was a very active woman, enjoyed life, and loved her family.

She was a Christian of the Pentecostal Faith who loved Jesus and went to her heavenly home to be with her Savior and the love of her life the Rev.  Charlie Parker whom she is preceded in death.    Also waiting in Heaven for her is her parents George and Annie Martin, her grandparents, I.J. Williams and Martha Jane Martin, her late second husband Robert Blankenship, son-in-law, Alex Gene Trail, 3 brothers, Leroy Moore, George Edward Martin, and Dewey M. Martin, 2 sister, Sybil Ann Martin-Benefield and Betty Jane Martin-Hunt, and 1 grandchild, Stephanie June Little.

Alice is survived by 2 daughters, Pasty E. (Jimmy) Trail-Crews and Rose M. Cantlin both of Ft. White, Florida, 2 sons, Richard Charles (Rick) (Susan) Parker of Ft White, Florida, and James Edward (Jimmy) (Janice) Parker of Crawfordville, Florida, 1 brother, Herman Eugene (Gene) Martin of Ft White, Florida.

Alice was a joy and delight to be with. She read the entire bible all the way through several times.  She was a woman of faith; she will always be remembered for her labor of love for her family and friends.  She loved the Lord and asked him to guide her steps daily.  Her family was her heart as she loved them dearly and was always doing good thing to help others. She enjoyed her ministry of giving and helping people of need. She will be greatly missed and in will be in our hearts forever.

Alice had great pride in her 8 grandchildren, Joseph (Joe) Little, Stephanie Little (deceased), Sheila D. Greene, David E. Trail, Michael (Mike) D. Trail, Adam Parker, Josh Parker, and Kyle Parker.  She was also excited about her 30 great grandchildren and 5 great, great grandchildren and a host of loving nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

A funeral service to honor the life of Alice will be held at 3 P.M. Thursday, May, 11, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Pastor DeWayne H. Bowdoin of Eagle’s Point Fellowship, Bronson, Florida officiating. Interment will be in Fort White Cemetery, Fort White, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday, May 10, at GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 2659 S.W. Main Blvd., Lake City, Florida.
