Aline R. Davis, 82, of Jacksonville, passed away on Friday, August 10, 2012 at the St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Jacksonville. She was born in Moniac, Georgia to the late Hardy Raulerson and Rachel Mixon Raulerson. Mrs. Davis was raised in the Moniac and Baxter communities and had lived in Jacksonville since 1953. She retired in 1984 from the Duval County School Board with over 30 years of employment. Mrs. Davis enjoyed canning, cooking, quilting and sewing when able. She was preceded in death by her four siblings.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Mr. Harmon “Boot” Davis, Jacksonville; one son, Warren Darrell Davis, Callahan; two daughters, Marilyn Raulerson (Delleanor), Baxter and Melanie Faye Davis, Jacksonville; three step children, William Lesley Davis, Macclenny, Nettie Jean Strickland, Leesburg, FL and Maybell Fraser, Macclenny; three grandchildren, Sherrie Dale Foresi, Anthony Warrenn Davis and Racheal Faye Elizabeth Davis all of Jacksonville; three great-grandchildren; and numerous step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at 10:00 AM at Pine Level Church with Rev. Fred Raulerson and Rev. Gene Burnsed officiating. Interment will follow at North Prong Cemetery, Baker County, FL. Visitation with the family will be from 6-8:00 PM Monday evening at the funeral home.
