Mrs.Althea Baker, age 72, of the Ellisville community of Lake City, Florida passed away on Monday, August 5, at her home following an extended illness. Mrs. Baker was born in Miami, FL and had resided in Lake City, FL since 1986. She was co-owner with her husband of Classic Lawn Care in Lake City for over 28 years until her retirement. She loved her flowers,gardening and canning her goods. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Barbara Pierce. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, David W. Baker of Ellisville, FL; two daughters, Deanna (Duane Griffis) Baker of Ellisville, FL and Davina Baker of Ellisville, FL; two sons, Rodger (Michelle) Worley of Anniston, AL and Jonathan (Amber) Baker of Pickens, SC; one sister, Rebecca Thompson of Davie, FL; two brothers, Chuck Barrow of Boston, MA and Paul Barrow of Morriston, FL; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive. A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Baker will be held at 11 A.M.,Saturday, August 10th in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Elder Richard Miles of the Branford Morman Church officiating. Interment will be in Baker Legacy Cemetery, Ellisville, FL.Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 6 to 8 P.M., Friday, August 9th, at GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 2659 S.W. Main Blvd., Lake City, Florida.
