Alvin Edward Duren

Mr. Alvin Edward Duren, age 82, of Orange Park, Fla. went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 21, 2012. Born in Okahumpka, Fla. he had resied in Orange Park for 51 years. He was the son of the late Willie W. and Olla Rebecca Duren. Alvin was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He worked with Merita Bread Company for 37 years and retired in 1985. He was preceded in death by his son, Lavon E. Duren. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Ellen L. Duren: Three children, Barney S. Duren, Tracey G. McGlamery and Vickie L. Duren: Nine grandchildren: Brother, Charles Willie Duren: Sister, Betty Williams. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 A.M. Monday, Nov. 26, in the Church of Christ of Latter Day Saints, Orange Park, Fla. with Bishop Jerry Marchand officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Union County, Fla. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 P.M. Sunday, Nov. 25, at the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home, Macclenny, Fla.
