Ms. Anatolia “Anna” Cabalit, age 102, of Lake City, Florida died Thursday, Aug. 12, at her residence following an extended illness. She was born on Bohol Island, Philippines and resided in Baltimore, Maryland before moving to Lake City, Florida in 1978. She worked many years as associate chief nurse at the V.A. Medical Center, Lake City, Florida. She was a devoted member of the Epiphany Catholic Church. She was a great cook and enjoyed serving her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her two daughters, Ophelia Cabalit and Margaret Cabalit, three sisters and a brother. She is survived by her son, Denis (Sandy) Cabalit of Lake City, Florida: one granddaughter, Brianna Cabilit of Lake City, Florida also survives. A funeral mass to honor the life of Ms. Cabalit will be held at 11 A.M. Friday, Aug. 20, in the Epiphany Catholic Church with Father Robert Hoffman officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Lake City, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 10 to 11 A.M. Friday (One hour before services) at the church.
