Mr. Angus Jackson Combs, age 89, of Glen St. Mary. Fla. died Friday, Aug. 3, in the Acosta-Rau Center for Caring, Jacksonville, Fla, following a long illness. He was born In Sanderson, Fla, and had resided in Baker county all of his life, He worked as a forest ranger with the Florida Division of Forestry for 28 years before his retirement. He was a member of the Taylor Church, a Navy veteran of W.W. II, and enjoyed fishing, farming and growing his garden. He was preceded la death by his parents. Cole Younger Combs, Sr. and Effie Mae Sweat Combs and his daughter, Deborah Joan Kennedy, He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Core Lee Combs of Glen St. Mary, Fla.; One daughter, Rebecca C. Williams of Sanderson, Fla.; One brother, Maxie Franklin Combs of Jacksonville, Fla.: Four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 P.M. Monday, Aug. 6, in The Taylor Church with Rev. Mark Woods, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be In Cedar Creek Cemetery, Sanderson, Fla. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 P.M. Sunday, Aug. 5, at the Taylor Church, Taylor, Fla. GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, Macclenny, Fla. is in charge of arrangements.
