Mrs. Annell Jacqueline Johns, age 65 of Jacksonville, FL passed away Friday, May 31st in the Ascension St. Vincent’s Riverside Hospital, Jacksonville,FL following a brief illness. Mrs. Johns was born in Macclenny, FL to Ronald and Annie Sands Rogers and resided there as a child until moving to Jacksonville, FL. She was a graduate of Ed White High School, Class of 1977 and spent the last several years as a homemaker. Mrs. Johns enjoyed shopping, spending time with her family and loved her dog, Bailey. She is preceded in death by her father, Ronald Rogers and her brother, David Allen Rogers. Mrs. Johns is survived by her husband, Robert Johns: daughter, Jannell Veronica Anstett (Michael) of Jacksonville, FL : son, Johnathan Shortridge of Jacksonville,FL: grandson, Ethan Shortridge of Jacksonville, FL. Numerous nephews and extended family members also survive. A funeral gathering to honor the life of Mrs. Johns will be held from 3 to 4 PM, Thursday, June 6th in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home.
