Mrs. Annie Mae Barton, age 82, of Macclenny, Fl. passed away September, 16 in the Macclenny Nursing and Rehab Center, Macclenny, Fl. following an extended illness. Mrs. Barton was a lifelong resident of Baker County and was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Macclenny, Fl. She enjoyed cooking, taking care of her family, and also her dog, Chi Chi. Mrs. Barton was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Lillie Garrett Barton, her husband, T.J. Barton, one son, Rondal Barton, one daughter, Diane Womack, one grandson, Robert Rondal Barton, Jr., one great grandson, Nicholas Lane Sheffield, and two brothers, J.W. and Ralph Sparkman. She is survived by three daughters, Sue Keiser (Mark) of Lake City, Fl., Marlene Strickland (Harold) of Orange Park, Fl. and Carolyn B. Combs (Delbert) of Macclenny, Fl.: One sister, Corrine Barton (Aubrey) of Sanderson, Fl.: nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren also survive. A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Barton will be held on Sunday, September 20, at 2 P.M. in the chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Griffin, Pastor of The Lords Church, Taylor, Fl. officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 P.M., Saturday, September 19 at the funeral home.
