Arlene Taylor Rich, 84 of Lake City, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at Haven Hospice after a short illness. 

Arlene was born on September 23, 1941. She was the daughter of the late Albert and Ivy Taylor.

She was proceeded in death by one brother James Taylor & four sisters Ruth Taylor, Clara Green, Minnie Curry, Mary Lou Alexander.

Arlene attended schools in Wellborn, Live Oak & Lake City, Florida, and graduated from Hines College of Nursing in Jackson, Mississippi. She worked as a nurse until she retired to stay home. She loved traveling, working in her yard and enjoying her family. She was a life member of Fellowship Baptist Church. She has one son, James A. Croft of Olustee, and one daughter, Melissa Ring of Lake City. One grandson, Preston Ring (Jiajia) and one granddaughter Krystle Guynn (Codey). Six great grandchildren: Hailey, Maddie, Ben, Connor, Xinyan & Tongchen. One sister, Susan Taylor Pohland, Jacksonville. Several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.


Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at 11 AM at Fellowship Baptist Church Lake City, Florida with Rev. Terry Elixson officiating and assisted by Evangelist James Croft. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Fellowship Baptist Church cemetery. Guerry Forbes Funeral Home of Lake City is honored to serve the Rich family.
