Arthur Vincent Thompson, Jr.

Mr. Arthur Vincent Thompson, Jr., age 43, of Macclenny, FL passed away Monday, September 5, in the St. Vincent’s Medical Center, Jacksonville, FL following a brief illness. Mr. Thompson was born in Jacksonville, FL and has lived in Baker County for 3 years after moving from St. George, GA. Mr. Thompson graduated from the Atlantic High School in Delray Beach, FL in 1996 and was a member of the Boy Scouts of America. He was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed playing pool with his late father. Mr. Thompson is preceded in death by his father, Arthur V. Thompson, Sr., grandparents, Arthur J. and Amelia Thompson and Ernest Lee and Millie Hall, and one uncle, Danny Lee Hall. He is survived by his mother, Jannett Thompson of Macclenny, FL: one brother, Mark Patrick Thompson of South Florida: three uncles, Raymond G. (Jo) Thompson and family of Palatka, FL, Edward (Earline) Norman and family of Jacksonville, FL and Gene (Zelda) Norman and family of Jacksonville, FL: four aunts, JoAnne (Doug) Layton and family of Jacksonville, FL, Barbara Bruce and family of Jacksonville, FL, Vivian (Larry) Sikes and Patricia Miller and family, all of Macclenny, FL. Numerous cousins also survive. A graveside funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Thompson will be held at 1 P.M. Monday, September 12 in the Chapel Hills Memory Garden, Jacksonville, FL.
