Mrs. Audrey Cason Brown, age 79, of Lake City, Florida died Sunday, Oct. 4, in the Suwanne Valley Care Center, Lake City, Florida following a long illness. Mrs. Brown was a life long resident of Lake City and worked for over 33 years as a cafeteria manager with the Columbia County School Board at Melrose Elementary School and Columbia High School. She was a graduate of Mason City High School Class of 1953 and a member of the Southside Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting and crocheting and for many years donated items to the children’s hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband, Archie Lee Brown, her parents, Nubia A. and Lucy Snelgrove Cason and two sisters, Emma Lee Robbins and Frances Brooker. She is survived by her three daughters, Debra (Percy) Brown , Wanda J. Olin and Kathy (George) Todd all of Lake City, Fla.: One sister, Dorothy (Ray) Markham of Jacksonville, Fla.: Three grandchildren, Archie (Jessi), Joshua and Cassie (Tim): Four great-grandchildren, Dillon, Cloey, Kinley and Paisley. Funeral services to honor the life of Mrs. Brown will be conducted at 2 P.M. Wednesday, Oct. 7, in the Chapel of GUERRY FUNERAL HOME with Dr. Fritz M. Fountain officiating. Interment will be in Philippi Cemetery, Columbia County, Fla. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 1 to 2 P.M. Wednesday (One hour before services) at GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 2659 S.W.
