Mr. Auzzie Crawford, age 79, of Glen St. Mary, Fla. died Saturday, July 14, 2012 in the V.A. Medical Center, Lake City, Fla. following a long illness. He was born in Macclenny, Fla. and had lived in Glen St. Mary, Fla. for the past 45 years. He worked as a self-employed truck driver all of his life, attended the Pine Level Church, was an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict and enjoyed fishing and farming. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ardell and Nancy Bennett Crawford.
He is survived by his wife, Bertha Crawford of Glen St. Mary, Fla.; Three sons, Alvin (Diane) Crawford of Sanderson, Fla., Eugene (Kim) Crawford and John (D.D.) Crawford both of Glen St. Mary, Fla.; Two brothers, Bobby (Bernice) Crawford of Sanderson, Fla. and Amos Ardell Crawford of Lake Butler, Fla.; Three sisters, Betty (Millage) Burnsed of Jacksonville, Fla., Bonnie Jean (Mac) McDowell of Houston, Texas and Janice Lynn Crawford of Macclenny, Fla.; Six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 A.M., Tuesday, July 17, in the Christian Fellowship Temple with Rev. Fred Raulerson, Pastor of Pine Level Church, officiating and assisted by Rev. David Thomas and Rev. Tim Thomas. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Baker County, Fla. Viewing and family visitation will be at Mr. Crawford’s home beginning at 4 P.M. Monday until 9 A.M. Tuesday.
