Ms. Barbara Dale Jackson, 75, of Lake City, passed away peacefully on Friday evening, December 9, 2016 at the Suwannee Valley Haven Hospice after an extended illness. She was born in Lynchburg, Virginia on May 2, 1941 to the late Mannie Hall and Alma Coleman Hall. She has lived in the Lake City area the last ten years, moving here from Lutz, Florida. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly; and loved crafts, crocheting, painting, and volunteering at the VA Hospital here in Lake City. She loved to watch the Golden Girls, Gilmore Girls and the Waltons any chance she got and loved to watch the Hallmark Channel, especially at Christmas time her favorite time of year. She also liked to get up before everyone in the mornings and enjoy a good cup of coffee and bird watch, especially looking for cardinals. She was of the Methodist faith; and was preceded in death by her loving husband: Andy Jackson; sister: Jean Bass and her brother: Murray Hall.
She is survived by her loving children: Michael (Cindy) Daniel, Sheri (Bud) Deese both of Lake City and Sabrina Raulerson of Jacksonville; brothers: Alan Hall, Les Hall and Tinsley Hall; and her sister: Alberta Drumheller. Fifteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren also survive along with many relatives and friends.
Memorial services for Ms. Jackson will be conducted on Friday, December 16, 2016 at 4 P.M. in the chapel of Guerry Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 3:00-4:00 P.M. (one hour prior to the services) at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Haven Hospice, 6037 W US Highway 90 Lake City, FL 32055 or to the Lake City Veterans Administration Hospice, 619 S Marion Ave, Lake City, FL 32025. Arrangements are under the direction and care of Guerry Funeral Home, 2659 SW Main Blvd, Lake City, Florida 32025.
