Beatrice Louise Burridge

Beatrice Louise Burridge, age 77, of Lake City, Florida passed away on August, 19, 2024 at home of natural causes. Bea was born on June 22, 1947 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry James Burridge, Sr. and Helen Niehaus Burridge. She is survived by her brother, Harry Burridge, Jr. and sister Barbara Herzog, along with many nieces and nephews. Bea was a graduate of Bishop Moore High School in Orlando, Florida class of 1965 and received her degree in Occupational Therapy from UF in Gainesville, Florida. She retired after a thirty-year career with the Veterans Administration rehabilitating military veterans recovering from physical and mental disabilities. Bea loved horses and spent many years volunteering at facilities caring for abused horses, and she especially enjoyed caring for her own beloved horses Expedite and Sunshine as well as her puppy Bandit. A funeral mass to honor the life of Mrs. Burridge will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, Aug. 31, in the Epiphany Catholic Church in Lake City with Father Diego Vasquez officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Lake City, Florida. GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 2659 S.W. Main Blvd., Lake City, Fla. Is in charge of arrangements.
