Mrs. Betty Jane Frisbee, age 89, of Baldwin, Fla. died Tuesday, June 4, at the home of her daughter in Pensacola, Fla. following an extended illness. She was born in Jacksonville, Fla. and had resided in Baldwin since 1948. She worked as a telephone operator for Winn-Dixie Food Stores for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Baldwin, Fla. She was preceded in death by her parents, William H. Lane and Mardie Thrower Lane, her husband, George W. Frisbee, Sr., one daughter, Mardie Betty Thompson; three brothers, William “Buddy” Lane, Robert Lane and O.A. Lane, sister, Norma Neissener and grandson, Nate Reamo.
She is survived by two daughters, Wanda (Doug) Corbin of Pensacola, Fla. and Lillie Kent of Indianapolis, Ind.; Two sons, George W. Frisbee, Jr. of Illinois and Joseph C. “J.C.” Frisbee of lake City, Fla.; Two sisters, Effie Flynn of Ft. White, Fla. and Cathy Vining of Starke, Fla.; Two brothers, James Lane of Macclenny, Fla. and Marion Lane of Jacksonville, Fla.; Nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4 P.M. Friday, June 7, in the First Baptist Church, Baldwin, Fla. with Rev. Chris Drum, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Brandy Branch Cemetery, Bryceville, Fla. Visitation with the family will be from 3-4 PM Friday (One hour prior to the service) at the church. GUERRY Funeral Home, US 90 East, Macclenny, Fla. is in charge of arrangements.
