Betty Louise Groves

Mrs. Betty Louise Groves, age 86, of Baldwin, Florida died suddenly on Friday, Aug. 11, in Macclenny, Florida. She was born Hilliard, Florida and had resided in Baldwin, Florida since 1950. She was a homemaker and member of the Baldwin First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed watching baseball and the New York Yankees and the Florida Gator football team, watching soap movies and working search puzzles. She was preceded in death by husband, William “Bill” David Groves, Jr., her parents, Idus James and Ozelle Webb Hudson and her daughter, Debbie Elaine Groves. She is survived by two sons, Dwight I. (Joy) Groves of Lawtey, Florida and Duane (Debra) Groves of Baldwin, Florida: Six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren also survive. A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Groves will be held at 1 P.M. Tuesday, Aug. 15, in the Baldwin First United Methodist Church with Rev. Daniel Search, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Brandy Branch Cemetery, Bryceville, Florida. Visistation and gathering with the family will be from 6 to 8 P.M. Monday, Aug. 14, at the Baldwin First United Methodist Church.
