Betty Carolyn Holliday

Mrs. Betty Carolyn Holliday, age 80, of Lake City, Florida passed away on Tuesday, July 18, in the Suwannee Valley Care Center, Lake City, Florida following an extended illness. Mrs. Holliday was born in Savannah, Georgia and lived most of her life in Lake City, Florida. She worked as an auditor with the U.S.D.A. ( U.S. Department of Agriculture) in Lake City an many other locations for over 30 years before her retirement. She enjoyed going to yard sales, antique glass and living near the “Mayo Swamp”. She was preceded in death by her parents, Larry B. and Blanche Douglas Summerville. She is survived by two sons, Mayse W. (Lisa) Holliday, II of Lake City, Florida and Kenneth O. Holliday of Japan; one sister, Celia (Charles) Douberly of Lake City, Florida; three grandchildren, Chelsea (Rodney) Watson, Tyler Holliday and Erika Holliday also survive. There will be no services, family and friends may consider a memorial for Betty Holliday to Haven Hospice or the Human Society of N.C. Florida, 4205 N.W. 6th Street, Gainesville, Florida 32609.
