Betty Jo Rogers, 66 a resident of Lake City, Florida passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Baya Pointe, in Lake City. She owned Betty’s Hair Fashion in Lake City for forty years. She also worked there as a hair stylist. Mrs. Betty Jo Rogers leaves behind her daughter Meschel Westerfield, son Eugene (Dorothy) Moore, two step-children Rhonda (Donnie) Lewis and Ronald Rogers, ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her brother Cecil Hollis sr, sisters Mary Ann Coody, Elaine Davis and Shirley Crews. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm. Funeral services to honor the life of Betty Jo Rogers will be held at 2:00 Wednesday, June 1, 2016 in the chapel of Guerry Funeral Home. Reverend Richard Rodriguez (associate pastor of Hopeful Baptist Church) with be officiating. Interment will follow in Corinth Cemetery in Columbia County.
