Mrs. Betty Nell Thornton, age 63, of Jennings, Fla. died Monday, May 9, 2011 in the South Georgia Medical Center, Valdosta, GA following an extended illness. She was a native of Twin City, Georgia and had resided in Orlando, Fla. for over 30 years before moving to Jennings, Fla. in 2006. She worked as a cosmetologist for over 20 years before her retirement.
She is survived by her husband, Bruce E. Thornton of Jennings, Fla.; her daughter, Sondra Jones of Searcy, Arkansas; her son, Scott Bohl of St. Cloud, Fla.; one sister, Trisha Hopfauf of Orlando, Fla.; one brother, Ronald Roberson of Jennings, Fla.; three grandchildren, Matthew Bennett, Adam Bohl and Andy Bohl; niece, Cierra Harris; nephew, Anthony Harris.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 A.M. Thursday, May 12, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Brown of Jennings, Fla. officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Suwannee County, Fla. Visitation will be from 6-9 P.M. Wednesday, May 11, at GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 2659 SW Main Blvd., Lake City, Fla.
