Bettye Burlea Byrd

Miss Bettye Burlea Byrd, age 45, of Macclenny, Florida died Saturday, Feb. 24, in the Macclenny Nursing and Rehab Center, Macclenny, Florida. Miss Byrd was born in Florence, South Carolina and had resided in Macclenny, Florida since 1974. She attended Baker county schools and graduated from Baker County High School in 1991. She was a member of the ARC of North Florida in Macclenny, Florida and enjoyed classes in music, coloring and crafts. She also enjoyed hunting with her father before his death. She was preceded in death by her parents, Burley Harold and Ellen Loree Rose Byrd. She is survived by her sister, Deborah Peters of Taylor, Florida: Two brothers, Thomas A. Byrd and Burley H. Peters both of Taylor, Florida: Her loyal cousin, Aunt Marty Rain of Sanderson, Florida. A funeral service to honor the life of Miss Byrd will be held at 2 P.M. Thursday, March 1, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Anderson, Pastor of the Road to Calvary Church, officiating. Interment will be in Manntown Cemetery, Glen St. Mary, Florida.
