Mr. Bobbie Lee Hunnicutt, age 74, of Jasper, Florida died Saturday, Aug. 29, in the Suwannee Valley Care Center, Lake City, Florida following a long illness. He was born in Durant, Oklahoma and resided in Jacksonville, Florida for over 22 years before moving to Jasper, Florida in 2004. He retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years of service and then worked as a military pay supervisor with the U.S. Civil Service, Jacksonville, Fla. for over 20 years until his retirement. He was of the Baptist faith and a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He and his wife loved square dancing and were members of the following clubs, Vagabond Square Dance Club of Live Oak, Fla., Dixie Dancers Square Dance Club of Lake City, Fla. and the Square Wheels Dance Club of North Florida. He also enjoyed traveling, photography and antiques. He is survived by his wife, Voncelle Hunnicutt of Jasper, Fla.: Two sons, Stephen Hunnicutt of Baltimore, Md. and Michael (Nicole) Hunnicutt of Arden, North Carolina: One sister, Willadean Sawyer of Kansas: Two brothers, Raymond Hunnicutt of Durant, Ok. and Wendell Hunnicutt of Houston, Texas: One grandson , Ian Hunnicutt also survives. Graveside military services will be conducted at 11 A.M. Thursday, Sept. 3, in the Jacksonville National Cemetery, Jacksonville, Fla. with Mrs. Juanda Myer, Mr. Hunnicutt’s niece, speaking a eugoly.
