Brian D. Fontaine Jr. of Fort White passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at the age of 32. He was born on March 6, 1993, in Warwick, Rhode Island to Brian and Theresa Fontaine Sr. Brian was a 2011 graduate of Fort White High School. He loved cooking and gaming and was always willing to help others. Brian enjoyed bowling, golfing and playing basketball with the Special Olympics and received many gold medals in those sports. He is survived by his parents: Brian and Theresa Fontaine Sr. ; brother: Jonathan Johnson of Gainesville; sister: Brianna (Adam) Labay of Fort White; nephews: Jonathan Johnson II and Tyler Johnson, both of Gainesville, and Riley Johnson of Kentucky; nieces: Jadelynne Johnson of Kentucky and Azalea Johnson of Gainesville; grandfather: William Jacob of Springhill, FL; aunts: Barbara Swenson of Rhode Island, Beverly Morrissette of Niceville, FL and Sheryl Marshall of Lake City; and uncles: James (Sandra) Jencks of East Greenwich, RI and Arthur (Karen) Jencks of Owasso, OK. Numerous cousins also survive.  A celebration of Brian’s life will be held 2:00pm, Thursday, October 16, 2025, graveside at St. James Episcopal Church Cemetery, Lake City, with Reverend William Stokes officiating. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to Florida Special Olympics. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Guerry Funeral Home, 2659 SW Main Blvd, Lake City, FL 32025. Guerry Funeral Home is honored to serve the Fontaine family.
