Carl Leonzer Gilbert

Mr. Carl Leonzer Gilbert, age 36, of Kentucky passed away Saturday, July 4th. Mr. Gilbert was born in Louisville, KY and was mostly raised in Yemassee, SC. He attended the Baker County High School before moving back to Kentucky. Mr. Gilbert liked to dance, enjoyed helping people in need, and loved living life to the fullest. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Daniels Gilbert. Mr. Gilbert is survived by his father, Coy Gilbert of South Carolina: two brothers, Daryle (Neisha) Gilbert of Jacksonville, FL and Corey Gilbert of Yemassee, SC and one sister, Aisha Gilbert of Sanderson, FL. Many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive. A memorial service to honor the life of Mr. Gilbert will be held at 11 A.M., Friday, July 17th in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home, Macclenny, FL with Dr. Priscilla Akins, officiating. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 10 to 11 A.M. (one hour before services). A repass will be held at the Tabernacle of the Enlightened Church of God, Margaretta, FL, immediately following the memorial service.
