Carlton Davis

Mr. Carlton Davis, age 92, of Sanderson, Florida passed away June 23rd, 2020 at home surrounded by his family. He had resided in Sanderson, Florida all of his life. He worked in the construction industry with Preston-Haskell Construction, Jacksonville, Florida for many years. He was a member of the Cedar Creek Church, Sanderson, Fla., was a volunteer with the Sanderson Fire Dept. for 25 years and Sr. Trustee of the Cedar Creek Cemetery for over 25 years. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 67 years, Margie H. Davis, his parents A.L. (Bertie) Pearl R. Davis: thirteen siblings, Harry, Albert, Leslie, Virgil and Elmus (Bud), Louise, Evelyn, Erma, Willie, Wilma, Violet, Pearly and Alice Faye: Granddaughter, Sarah P. Davis: great-granddaughter, Blaire E. Davis.

He is survived by his three sons, Ronald (Sherrie) Davis of Macclenny, Florida, Jimmy L. Davis of Tifton, Georgia and Mark (Donna) Davis of Sanderson, Florida: Three daughters, Regina Berger of Macclenny, Fla., Lora (Bob) Baglin and Patti L. Davis of Sanderson, Florida: one brother, Preston (Miriam) Davis of Sanderson, Fla.: Sister-in-law, Shirley Davis of Sanderson, Fla.: Brother-in-law, Vernon (Jackie) Harvey of Sanderson, Fla. Eleven grandchildren, Joseph and Jason Dube’, Justin and Lauren Davis, Jordan and Robert Baglin, Andrew L. Davis, Markas, Michael and Maggie Davis and LaDonna Combs: 13 great-grandchildren, Chloe, Peyton, Landon, Ryan, Cayden, Grace, Lauren and Trinity Dube’, Briar, Bailey, Rylee and Beau Baglin and Abigail Davis.

A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Davis will be held at 11 A.M. Friday, June 26, in the Cedar Creek Church with Pastor Joseph D. Dube’, his grandson, officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Creek Cemetery, Sanderson, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 6 to 8 P.M.
