Carolyn Elizabeth Martin

Mrs. Carolyn Elizabeth Martin, 67 of Macclenny passed away on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at the Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville. She was born in Statesville, North Carolina to the late Everette and Mary Blackwelder Shaw and had lived in Macclenny since 1988 having moved here from Jacksonville. Mrs. Martin was of the Church of Christ faith and enjoyed sewing, doing crafts and spending time with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Martin is survived by her husband of 35 years, Mr. Robert J. Martin, Macclenny; three sons, Wendell T. Martin, Glen St. Mary, William E. (Tara) Martin, Sanderson and Robert B. (Jessica), Martin, Jacksonville; five grandchildren, Joshua E., Sara Beth, Christopher, Dustin and Kierra; and two great grandchildren, Jacob Eugene and Parker Sidney.

Funeral services for Mrs. Martin will be conducted on Monday, May 14, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home. Interment will follow at 1:00 PM at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery in Jacksonville. Visitation with the family will be from 10-11:00 AM, one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be made to the American Caner Society.
