Carolyn Louise Register

Ms. Carolyn Louise Register, age 91, of Middleburg, FL passed away Wednesday, April 24 in the Baptist Medical Center, Jacksonville, FL following a short illness. Ms. Register was born in Lake City, FL and resided in Jacksonville, FL before moving to Middleburg, FL over 50 years ago. She was a member of the South Middleburg Baptist Church and enjoyed traveling. Ms. Register loved spending time outdoors, soaking up the sunshine, and scalloping with her family in Steinhatchee. She is preceded in death by her parents, Clyde Griffin and Corrine Grier, her husband who she missed dearly, Ronnie Register, son, Daryl Griffis, two sisters and two brothers. Ms. Register is survived by two daughters, Wanda Weldon (Danny) of Baldwin, FL and Lana Joe Griffis of Jacksonville, FL: one sister, Ouida Williams of Jacksonville, FL: three grandchildren, Justin Weldon (Heather), Kelli Davis (Derrick) and Tyler Weldon. Seven great- grandchildren, Hannah, Cody, Marlee, Walker, Kendall, Chloe and Wyatt, also survive. Ms. Register also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and dear friends. A funeral service to honor the life of Ms. Register will be held at 11 A.M., Thursday, April 25th in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Pastor Phillip Crump officiating. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 10 to 11 A.M. (one hour before the start of services) at the funeral home. Interment will follow the funeral service in South Prong Cemetery. The family would like to extend a heartfelt “thank you” to the wonderful staff at Frank Wells Nursing Home that took such great care of Ms. Register.
