Cary Melton Reynolds

Cary Melton Reynolds, age 72, of Baldwin, FL passed away on February 15, 2018 at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville, FL. He was born on March 30, 1945 in Baldwin, FL to Cecil Eugene Reynolds and Lillian Inez McGlashan Reynolds. After high school, Cary went to work for the railroad. He was soon drafted with his twin brother, Gary and they both served our country in the United States Army. After service, he moved back to Baldwin and back to work for the railroad. Soon after moving back home, Cary started dating and would soon marry the love of his life, Ms. Linda Moore. They would go on to enjoy 48 years of marriage. During their marriage, they raised four sons. Cary enjoyed spending time with his boys and coaching them in baseball. Later in life, Cary became an avid salt water fisherman and also enjoyed gardening. He was a member at the Baldwin Assembly of God and was a former board member of the church.  He is preceded in death by both parents, Cecil and Lillian Reynolds, and brother Gary Reynolds.

Mr. Reynolds is survived by his wife, Linda Moore Reynolds; sons Gene Reynolds of Baldwin, FL, Dale (Sheila) Reynolds of Baldwin, FL, Tim Reynolds of Baldwin, FL and Joey Reynolds of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren Gene, Courtney, Amanda, Tristan, and Matthew Reynolds; sister Lula Hill of Baldwin, FL; brother Michael (Leta) Reynolds of Arkansas; sister-in-laws Sandra Leisten of South Carolina, Judy (George) Schneider of Keystone, FL, and Susan (Johnny) Cassady of Tavares, FL; brother-in-laws Don (Jane) Thornley of Alabama and Mark (Sunnie) Moore of California.

A funeral service to honor Mr. Reynolds will be held on Tuesday, February 20, at 11:00 am at the Baldwin Assembly of God with Pastors Bert and Lori Hutson officiating. Visitation with the family will be held on Monday, February 19, from 6:00 to 8:00pm. at the church. Interment will be at Brandy Branch Cemetery where military honors will be rendered. The pallbearers who have the honor of assisting Mr. Reynolds include Gene Reynolds, Tim Reynolds, Dale Reynolds, George Schneider, Johnny Cassady, and Mark Moore. GUERRY FUNERAL HOME of Macclenny is in charge of arrangements.
