Cathy Kay Davis

Mrs. Cathy Kay Davis, age 66, of Lake City, Florida passed away Friday, Sept. 30, at her residence following an extended illness. She was born in Lake City, Florida and resided in Sanderson, Florida for over 20 years before moving back to Lake City 40 years ago. She worked as a waitress for Shoney’s Restaurant and a sales clerk for Rally’s Food Store, Lake City, Florida for almost 20 years. She was a member of the Pine Grove Baptist Church and loved fishing, taking videos of her family and loved her grandchildren. She was the daughter of the late John M. and Lucille Jenkins Johnson; She is survived by her daughter, Crystal Gail Cook of Lake City, Florida; two sons, Donald Wayne Richerson of Lake City, Fla. and Edward L. (Kristine) Richerson of Glen St. Mary, Fla.; her companion, Stephen Albert Wells, Sr. and his extended children, Stephen S. Wells, Jr., Melissa Taylor and Anna Boyd; eight siblings, Mitchell Johnson and John “Dubby” (Ann) Johnson both of Lake City, Fla.; Richard (Bambi) Johnson, Tommy (Darlene) Johnson, Pat (Bobby) Brogdon and Debbie (Brian) Altman all of Glen St. Mary, Fla., Stanly Johnson of Macclenny, Fla. and Alice (Billy) Crawford of Lulu, Fla.; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive.  A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Davis will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday, Oct. 5, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Rev. Albert Starling, Pastor of  the Glen Friendship Holiness Church, officiating. Interment will be in Siloam Methodist Church Cemetery, Columbia County, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday, Oct. 4, at GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 2659 S.W. Main Blvd., Lake City, Florida.
