Charles Edward Harris, Jr., a81, a resident of Lake City, Florida passed away February 22, 2012 at the Suwannee Valley Care Center following an extended illness.
Mr. Harris had resided in Lake City for the past fifteen years coming from Easton, Maryland. He is the son of the late Charles E. Harris Sr. and Lydia Wheatly Harris. He was a veteran of Korea having served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife Betty Harris, Lake City, Florida. One daughter: Ruth Harris, Rock Hall, Maryland, one Son: Charles E. Harris, III, Rock Hall, Maryland., One sister: Edna Mae Harris, Hurlock, Maryland, One Brother: Bobby Harris, San Louis Bisco, CA. Two Grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted Monday, February 27, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. in the Jacksonville National Cemetery, Jacksonville, Florida. Guerry Funeral Home, 2659 SW Main Blvd. Lake City, Florida is in charge of arrangements.
