Charlis Ann Russell

Mrs. Charlis Ann Russell, 71 of Lake City, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at the St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Clay County.  She was born in Santa Anna, California to the late Charles and Alice Ladwig and had made Lake City her home since 1993 having moved here from Oxnard, California.  Mrs. Russell was very involved and enjoyed participating in events at the American Legion Post 57 in Lake City.

Survivors include her husband, George W. Russell, Lake City; one son and daughter in law, George M. and Wendy Russell, Lake City; three grandchildren, Casey Russell and Michael Russell both of Orange Park and Benjamin Russell, Fort Bragg, NC; one great grandson, Austin Russell, Wisconsin; two sisters, Kathleen Gardner (John), California and Ruth Lynn Wolf (Michael); and two nieces, Leslie and Gail.

A memorial gathering with the family will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2014 from 11:00 AM till 12 Noon at Guerry Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations be made to the American Legion Auxiliary Girls State Program at P.O. Box 2177, Lake City, FL 32056.
