Mrs. Claire Ann Luscombe, age 71, of Glen St. Mary, Florida passed away recently near her home. Mrs. Luscombe was born in Schenectady, New York and resided in Brewster, Massachusetts and Jacksonville, Florida before moving to Glen St. Mary, Florida in 2010. She worked as a bank teller for many years in New York and Massachusetts, most recently with the Cape Cod Fine Bank in Orleans, Massaachusetts. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Macclenny, Florida. She trained and was a yoga instructor for many years and was a good singer in the church choir and enjoyed cooking for her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Phyllis Smith Van-Auken. She is survived by her husband, George A. Luscombe of Glen St. Mary, Florida; her son, Eric (Kristin) White of Bogart, Georgia; two step-children, Kimberly (Reuben) Baker of Monson, Massachusetts and Suzanne (Randy) Chambliss of Uniontown, Pennsylvania; one sister, Gale Mercer of Luray, Virginia; her niece, Heather Starkey; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive. A memorial service to honor the life of Mrs. Luscombe will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, July 23, in the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Bryan Simpson, Pastor, officiating. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 10 to 11 A.M. Saturday (One hour before services) at the church.
