Clyde Martin Owens, Jr.

Mr. Clyde M. “Buddy” Owens, Jr., age 75 of Sanderson, FL passed away Wednesday, July 19 in the Acosta Rau Center for Caring, Jacksonville, FL following an extended illness. Mr. Owens was a resident of the Georgia Bend area until he moved to Baker County in 1999. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and loved his family. Mr. Owens is preceded in death by his son, Tommy Gene Owens and one sister, Lula Belle Lundeen. He is survived by his wife, Shelia Stringfield Owens: one son, Martin Owens of St. George, GA: one brother, Bruce Owens of Green Cove Springs, FL: two sisters, Doris Smith of Orange Park, FL and Dianne Blouir (George) of Middleburg, FL: four grandchildren, Tyler Owens, Ashley Johnson, Joshua Owens and Amber Owens. Three great grandchildren, Canon, Colsen and Camdyn Johnson, also survive. Funeral services to honor the life of Mr. Owens will be held on Saturday, July 22 at 3 P.M. in the chapel of Guerry Funeral Home. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 2 to 3 P.M., Saturday (one hour before services). Interment will follow at North Prong Cemetery.
