Mr. Curly John Hunt, age 75, of Macclenny, Florida died Tuesday, March 29, in the Memorial Hospital, Jacksonville, Florida following an extended illness. Mr. Hunt was born in Sellers, South Carolina and resided in Jacksonville, Florida before moving to Macclenny, Florida 40 years ago. He worked as a coating inspector with Sherwin-Williams Paint Company for over 22 years until his retirement. He was a member of the National Association of Corrosion Engineers and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Macclenny Ward, Macclenny, Florida. He was a U.S. Marine reservist and enjoyed recreational shooting of sport clays and enjoyed his gardening. He was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Hunt, his grandson, Daryl Tyson and his parents, Angus and Elinor Smith Hunt. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Deborah Hunt of Macclenny, Florida; two daughters, Windy (Johnny) Tyson of Glen St. Mary, Florida and Dawn (Christopher) Strode of Sumter, South Carolina; two sisters, Dianne Riddell of Cape Coral, Florida and Starr Hale of Ferris, Texas; one brother, Ralph Hunt of Jacksonville, Florida; Four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive. A graveside funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Hunt will be held at 1 P.M. Friday, April 1, in the Jacksonville Memory Gardens Cemetery, Orange Park, Florida with Bishop Jacob Cranford officiating. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday, March 31, at GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 420 East Macclenny Avenue, Macclenny, Florida 32063.
