Mr. Daniel Dwight Prince, Sr., age 65, of Fort White, Florida passed away on Sunday, Nov. 27, in the Suwannee Valley Care Center, Lake City, Florida following a long illness. Mr. Prince was born in Lake City and lived most of his life in Lake City and the Fort White, Florida area. He worked as a pulp wood and logging operator in the timber industry for many years. He attended the Huntsville Baptist Church and loved being outdoors, gardening, fishing and enjoying his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Byron and Ruby Whaley Prince, three brothers, David Prince, Loson Box and Edward V. Prince, one sister, Diana Moore. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Debbie Prince of Fort White, Fla.; four children, Daniel (Samantha) Prince, Jr. of Fort White, Fla., Christina Prince, Alecia (Logan) Wood and Jacob Prince all of Lake City, Florida; two step-children, Tonya Garcia and Candice Garcia both of Fort White, Fla.; four brothers, George (Vickie) Prince of Palmer, Mass., James (Gail) Prince of Lake City, Florida, Leroy (Tina) Prince of Live Oak, Fla. and Bobby Lee Box of Providence, Fla.; two sisters, Carlon Garcia and Jean Mershon both of Lake City, Fla.; ten grandchildren, Kiara, Daniel III, Joshua, Trevor, Kamden, Ally, Darien, Owen, Luke and Kinley also survive. A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Prince will be held at 1 P.M. Friday, Dec. 2, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Rev, Jim Steele officiating. Interment will be in Prince Cemetery, Columbia County, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday, Dec 1, at GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 2659 S.W. Main Blvd., Lake City, Florida.
