David Bennett

Mr. David Gordon Bennett, age 75, of Macclenny, FL passed away Friday, December 3, at his home following an extended illness. Mr. Bennett was born in Jacksonville, FL to the late Robert and Susie Parker Bennett. He resided in Whitehouse, FL for several years before moving to Baker County, FL 50 years ago. Mr. Bennett served in the United States Air Force from 1966 to 1969 and was a sheet metal worker with the Local Union 435 until his retirement in 2001. He loved planting his garden, hunting and fishing. Mr. Bennett is survived by his loving wife, Cathy Michelle Bennett: two daughters, Cheryl Michelle Kennedy (Matt) and Beth LeeAnn Davis (Randy) both of Macclenny, FL: one brother, Robert “Gene” Bennett (Jane) of Bryceville, FL: one sister, Ellen Elaine Bennett of Glen St. Mary, FL. Seven grandchildren, Madison Kennedy, Colby Kennedy (Sarah Ray), Brooklyn Kennedy, Tucker Kennedy, Zachary Davis, Colt Davis and Kate Davis, also survive. A graveside funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Bennett will be held at 4 P.M., Monday, December 6th in the Macedonia Cemetery with Rev. Mark Woods officiating. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 2 to 3:30 P.M., Monday, December 6th in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home.
