David A. Ellinwood, 71, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2011, at home with God and family by his side. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Emma Ellinwood, precious daughters, Kristi Ellinwood, Lake City, Florida; Charna (Chris) Raines, Lake City, Florida; Teisha (Chris) Ferger, Fayetteville, NC; precious grandchildren, Harrison, Jackson, Emma, and Eliza Ferger. Also surviving are sisters, Eleanor Rogowski, NY; Carol Piper, NY; Nancy Ellinwood, NY; Linda (Dick) Katz, AZ; Marilyn (Brian) Patterson, NY; and brothers, Norris (Dottie) Ellinwood, NY, and Alan (Sue) Ellinwood, VA. Numerous nieces, and nephews also survive.
Born May 6th, 1940 in Utica, NY, Mr. Ellinwood was predeceased by his parents, Albert George Ellinwood, and Mae Barber Ellinwood, and baby sister Lois Ellinwood.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 6th, 2011, 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at Guerry Funeral Home. Interment will be private. Memorial donations can be made to Hopeful Baptist Church, 289 SE Hopeful Drive, Lake City, Florida 32025, or to Haven Hospice, 6037 US Hwy 90 West, Lake City, Florida 32055.
