David Larry Parrish

Mr. David Larry Parrish, 58, of Macclenny, Florida passed away Sunday evening, August 1st, 2021. David Larry Parrish was born July 15th, 1963, in Gainesville, Florida to Armontine Parrish Osborne and Thomas Jefferson Parrish. He graduated from Union County High in 1982. On July 12, 1991, he married the former Sharon Hinson. He was a loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather. David was employed as a Correctional Officer and retired after 30 years of service. He was an avid hunter and a member of the Moose Lodge. He spent most of his weekends hunting, golfing, and spending time with his family and grandchildren. David is survived by his wife, Sharon Parrish, five children, Chad David Parrish, Jeremy Thomas Rhoden, Andrew Michael Parrish, Sieara Virginia Rhoden, and Reagan Chelsey Parrish; Three grand children, Maddison Lynne Rhoden, Bentley Hunter Parrish, and Gracen Michelle Parrish; brothers and sisters, Barbara Leach, Cathy Welch (Mark Welch), Tommy Parrish (Terry Parrish), Pamela Williams (Johnny Williams), Tina Elixson (Billy Ray Elixson), Wayne Parrish (Dana Parrish), and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Jefferson Parrish and sister, Linda Tanner. A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, August 7th at Guerry Funeral Home, 420 East Macclenny Ave. Macclenny, Florida 32063, with Pastor Roger Worten officiating. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 1 to 2 P.M. (one hour prior to services) at the funeral home. Guerry Funeral Home has been entrusted with the services.
