Deborah Sue Griffis

Miss Deborah Sue "Debbie" Griffis, age 60, of Fernandina Beach, Florida died Wednesday, July 30, at her residence following an extended illness.  She was born in Augsbury, Germany and resided in Callahan, Fla. before moving to Fernandina Beach, Fla. 15 years ago.  She was a homemaker and was an avid reader.  She was preceded in death by her father, Leo Bently Griffis.  She is survived by her son, G.L. Zachariadis of Jacksonville, Fla.:  Her mother, Louise Williams of Callahan, Fla.:  Three brothers, Dwight Griffis of Fernandina Beach, Fla., Robert Griffis of Jacksonville, Fla. and Richard Griffis of Callahan, Fla.:  One grandchild, Christopher Griffis.  Funeral services will be conducted at 11 A.M., Monday, Aug. 4, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home, Macclenny, Fla. with Rev. Jim Cox, Associate Pastor of The Taylor Church, officiating.  Interment will be in Cedar Creek Cemetery, Sanderson, Fla.  Visitation will be from 10 to 11 A.M., Monday (One hour before service time) at GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, U.S. 90 East, Macclennty, Fla. www.guerryfuneralhome.net
