Debs Russell Bowen, Jr.

Mr. Debs Russell Bowen, Jr., age 84, of Glen St. Mary, FL passed away Sunday, May 28, in the Macclenny Nursing and Rehab Center, Macclenny, FL following an extended illness. Mr. Bowen was a lifelong resident of Baker County, FL and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Baldwin. He was employed by the railroad and was a member of the Transportation Communications International Union of Jacksonville, FL. Mr. Bowen loved his dogs and also loved bluegrass music. He was a member of the North Florida Blue Grass Association of Jacksonville, FL and served in the U.S. Military during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Bowen is preceded in death by his late wife, Elizabeth Ann Bowen, his parents, Debs Russell Bowen, Sr. and Clara Osteen Bowen, and his brother, Harry N. Bowen. He is survived by one brother, Gary R. Bowen of Corbin, KY: sister-in-law, Clara S. Bowen of Macclenny, FL: nephew, James D. Bowen of Macclenny, FL. A graveside service to honor the life of Mr. Bowen will be held at 10 A.M., Thursday, June 1 in the Brandy Branch Cemetery. Guerry Funeral Home, U.S. 90 E, Macclenny, FL is in charge of arrangements.
