Deloris "Dinker" Little

Mrs. Deloris "Dinker" Little of Lake City, Florida, died Thursday, August 19th at the age of 91.  Mrs. Little resided in Lake City all of her life and was the daughter of the late Vernon and Elizabeth Ward.  She spent the majority of her career working in healthcare for Columbia County and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, cooking for her family, sewing and embroidering beautiful pieces, and her favorite pastime was reading.  Her favorite quote goes, “As long as you have a good book, you are never lonely.”  Mrs. Little was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, George Little, and two sons, George (Joey) Little II and Michael Little.  She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Chandler, two sons, Rodney (Karen) Little and Perry (Zannie) Little, and her daughter-in-law, Elaine Little.  She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.  Mrs. Little was loved by many and will be greatly missed.  A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Little will be held Wednesday, August 25th at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home and officiated by Mr. Jim Nichols.  Following will be a grave dedication at Ebeneezer Cemetery officiated by Mr. Regal Dicks. Family visitation and gathering will be from 2:00-3:00 pm at GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 2659 S. W. Main Blvd., Lake City, Florida. Interment will be in Ebeneezer Cemetery, Columbia County, Florida.
