Demaurice Harvey

DeMaurice Harvey, age 88, who resided most of her life in Macclenny, Florida passed on to her heavenly home October 26, 2015. Ms. Harvey was a native of the Georgia Bend area of Charlton County, Georgia. As a young woman she came to Macclenny, Florida where she raised her family and worked. DeMaurice was retired from the Baker County School Board. She is preceded in death by her parents, Raiford & Thelma Thompson Gainey and brothers, Billy, Bobby, & Hamilton Gainey. She is survived by, Two daughters, Elaine Harvey-Walker (Ronald), and Diane Harvey-Stone: Four grandchildren, Christopher Starling (Tonya), Kimberly Walker-Laidman (Craig), Dawn Taylor-Sessions (Tad), & Jana Walker: One sister, Faye Gainey-Harvey (Floyd): One brother, Talmadge Gainey(Nell). Four great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild also survive. The family would like to express thanks to all who assisted our mother and grandmother in her last years and for the care that was given to her. Funeral Services to honor the life of Ms. Harvey will be at 11 A.M., Saturday, October 31, 2015 in the chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Rev. James Conner officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 9 to 11 A.M. (Two hours before services). Interment will follow in Boones Creek Cemetery, St. George, Ga.
