Denise Darlene Mckee

Mrs. Denise Darlene McKee, 60, of Lake City, passed away Thursday evening, February 16, 2017 in Gainesville at the North Florida Regional Medical Center after an extended illness. She was born in New Haven, Connecticut on May 21, 1956 to the late George William Dobbs and Vivian DeForno Dobbs. She has lived in the Lake City since 2003, moving here from Putnam County. She was of the Catholic Faith and loved to tend to her garden and animals. She was also a hairdresser for many years till ill health forced her to retire. She is preceded in death by her brother: Bradley Dobbs.
She is survived by her loving husband of 28 years: Hugh McKee of Lake City; son: Austin McKee of Lake City; daughter: Cassandra “Cassie” McKee of Lake City and sister: Debbie Pipenbacher of Connecticut. Many family members and friends also survive.
Mrs. McKee’s wishes were to be cremated. She was cremated after a private ceremony with her family. Her arrangements are under the direction and care of Guerry Funeral Home, 2659 SW Main Blvd, Lake City, 32025.
