Dennis Franklin Robinson, Sr.

Mr. Dennis Franklin Robinson, Sr., age 66, of Macclenny, Florida died Friday, June 3, in the Baptist Medical Center Downtown, Jacksonville, Florida following a long illness. He was born in Danville, Virginia and had resided in Macclenny, Florida for 64 years. He worked for the Northeast Florida State Hospital, Macclenny, Florida for over 32 years before his retirement. He was a member of the Macclenny Church of God and enjoyed taking care of his family and watching Gator and Green Bay Packer football. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Dewey Robinson and Ethel Beulah Gray Robinson. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Ferrell Combs Robinson of Macclenny, Florida: Three sons, Dennis Franklin Robinson, Jr. of Jacksonville, Florida, James Timothy Robinson and Jonathan David (Doryan) Robinson both of Macclenny, Florida: Four grandchildren, J.J. Robinson, Mason Robinson, Macy Robinson and Hunter James Alkema: One sister, Glenda Ann (Darrell) Wills of Kersville, North Carolina: Two nieces, Sherry Wills and Melissa Brown and numerous other nieces and nephews. A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Robinson will be held at 2 P.M. Tuesday, June 7, in the Macclenny Church of God with Rev. Shannon Conner, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Taylor Cemetery, Taylor, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 5 to 7 P.M.
