God took his greatest Gator fan home on October 1, 2014. Mr. Dennis Alvin Yarborough was born in Jacksonville, FL, but lived most of his life in Macclenny. He retired as a master mechanic from King Edward Cigars in 1993 after 44 years. He was a member of Chaffee Road Church of Christ and a veteran of the Army National Guard. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis David and Lumartha Combs Yarborough. His legacy lives on through his wife of 64 years Jean Kirksey Yarborough of Macclenny, Fla.: One daughter, Patricia (Bob) McKee of West Lafayette, Indiana: One son, Robert Dennis “Bobby” (Victoria) Yarbrough of St. Johns, Florida: One sister, Agnes Lewis of Jacksonville, Florida: One brother, Gene Yarborough of Jacksonville, Florida: One half-brother, Charles Dempsey of Jacksonville, Fla.: Three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 A.M. Monday, Oct. 6, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home, Macclenny, Fla. with Minister Sam Durden of Mayo, Fla. officiating and assisted by Minister Larry Paulk.
