Donald Allen Williams

Mr. Donald  Allen Williams, age 72, of Lake City, Florida died  Sunday, March, 22, in the Suwannee Valley Care Center, Lake City, Florida following an extended illness.  Mr. Williams was born in Jacksonville, Florida and had resided in  Lake city, Florida for the past  65 years.  He was formerly employed with the State Exchange Bank and Barnett Banks as an operations manager for over 24 years. For  the  last 10 years he was employed with Liberty National Life Insurance Company.  For many years he was a choir director and piano player  for numerous church’s  and enjoyed being invited to play at  many weddings services.  He was a graduate of Columbia High School Class of 1961 and attended the University of Florida. He was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Esther  Hitt Williams, Sr.  and his brother, Ray Williams, Jr.  He is survived by his wife Pat Williams Three daughters, Leighanne (Kevin) Prescott of Stapleton, Ga.,  Coree Lynn Hall of Green Cove Springs, Fla. and Alania (Buddy) Thompson of Lake City, Florida:  Four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews survive.  Funeral services will be conducted at  3 P.M. Thursday, March 26, in the Bethel United Methodist Church with Rev. A.C. Bryant of Sebring, Fla. officiating and assisted by Rev. Deborah McKown, pastor of the Bethel United Methodist Church.  Final disposition will be by cremation.  Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 6 to 8 P.M.
