Mrs. Donna Jean Bass, age 75, of Lake City, Fl. passed away Saturday, May 16, 2015 at the Suwannee Valley Care Center, Lake City, Fl. Mrs. Bass was born in Medina, New York and lived in Orlando, Fl. before moving to Lake City, Fl. one year ago. Mrs. Bass was of the Baptist faith and worked in retail stores for most of her life. She enjoyed spending her time sewing, gardening, working on puzzles, and was also a member of the Loyal Order of The Moose in Palatka, Fl.
She was preceded in death by parents, Raymond and Doris Sipple, and her beloved husband, James C. Bass. Mrs. Bass leaves to cherish her memory her son, Kenneth Butler of Lake City, Fl.: Three daughters, Christine Sanders of Callahan, Fl., Evelyn Rice of Lake City, Fl. and Tacia Suitton of New Port Richey, Fl.: One brother, Don Sipple: Three sisters, Nancy, Bonnie and Mary. Nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also survive.
A remembrance service to honor the life of Mrs. Bass will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, May 22, 2015 at Hopeful Baptist Church, Lake City, Fl. with Pastor Richard Rodrigez, officiating.
