Mr. Earl Oran Burnett, age 87, of Macclenny, Florida died Saturday, Nov. 5, at St. Vincent’s Riverside Hospice, Jacksonville, Florida following a brief illness. He was born in Sanderson, Florida and resided in Macclenny, Florida most of his life. Earl served his country during the Korean War in the Air Force. He was a community pharmacist for over 50 years and proudly owned Paul’s Rexall Drugstore from 1976-1993. Earl was a third generation member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was a high priest in the church. He was a graduate of the University of Florida and held degrees in Agriculture and Pharmacy. He loved to read, make model airplanes and fly gyro-copters. He was preceded in death by his parents, Noah Jefferson Burnett and Eunice Dobson Burnett, brothers, George Wilbur Burnett and John Paul Burnett. He is survived by his wife of over 38 years, Paula Margain Burnett of Macclenny, Florida: Four daughters, Diana Kimberling, Pam (Jim) Caudle and Susan (Dan) Miller all of Portland, Oregon and Eleanor (Quentin) Nunn of Jacksonville, Florida: Four sons, David (Cindy) Burnett of St. Helens, Oregon, Jeanpaul (Karl) Burnett of Jacksonville, Florida, Andy (Joann) Burnett of Gulfport, Florida and Matthew-Eric Burnett of Macclenny, Florida: Two sisters, Marjorie Burnett Fish and Marian Burnett Adams: mother-in-law, Hilda Holton Margain: 20 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren also survive. A memorial service to honor the life of Mr. Burnett will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday, Dec. 3, in the Macclenny Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with Bishop Joe Breazeale officiating. After the service there will be a visitation with the family at the church. Final disposition will be by cremation with GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, U.
