Edward Leon Davis passed away on December 7, 2014 at his beloved cabin on the St. Mary's River. Edward was born in Baker County and raised by his loving granddaddy Walter and momma Annie May. He was a Christian man, loving father and husband. Edward was a hardworking man who enjoyed some of life's most simple pleasures like quiet time with his family enjoying football at this cabin, spending a day going to see his children for a simple meal, and of course simply speaking to them each night to say, "I Love You". Edward was a very skilled man and carpenter who used his talents to build he and his wife a dream house on the river. He was awarded a Purple Heart medal for honor and bravery while serving as a sergeant in the United States Marine Corp. during the Vietnam War. He was a man who enjoyed nature, hunting and fishing, and above all, a man of conviction who loved his wife and children. Edward is proceeded in death by father, Dorsey Davis: mother, Ethel Powell: granddaddy, Walter Davis, and momma, Annie May Davis. Edward is survived by his wife, Leanne Davis: two sons, Daren Davis (Jennifer) and Daniel Davis (Ashley): two daughters, Dori Castillo (John Michael) and Jessie Davis (Clay): and one sister, Janice Norris (Billy). Memorial services will be held at 3 P.M., Thursday, December 11, 2014 in the chapel of Guerry Funeral Home, 420 E Macclenny Ave., Macclenny, FL with Hugh Fish delivering an eulogy.
